Artist Panama Freetsyle Series (X Rocksmith) Dir. Mills Miller Part 1 & 2

PART 1

P A N A M A

“Live well, love life, and laugh often” sounds more like a proverb than a phrase you would expect to come from a rapper. But then again to deem Panama an average rapper would be a grave misconception.

Born in Brooklyn, raised in Panama, Rapper/Model/Actor Panama grew into his manhood in Maryland. He survived a poverty stricken childhood, overcoming struggles of a broken household and learning to live on his own during his teenage years in Baltimore where he briefly fell victim to the street life. But greatness knows no obstacles.

He was introduced to Hip Hop by his best friend Shawn Smith and instantly fell in love with the craft. He developed his love for Hip Hop as many do, listening to the late Notorious B.I.G, but it was his love for acting that began to take the lead landing him a stint on the popular HBO series “The Wire.”

But music was never too far behind. Panama used his ability to encounter and adapt to difficult situations to give him positive outlook on life, which resonates through his art. Having been featured everywhere from MTV2 to Yahoo! to BET to The Source magazine, Panama’s music is an expression of love, struggle and inspiration. “I put all of my emotion in my music,” he explains, “I want people to know that I am not afraid. It’s all there.”

A spirited writer and gifted3 lyricist, Panama knows that quality and integrity will give him the edge in a game where rappers are only as good as their last song. “It’s about being a profound artist; not a profane rapper,” he states knowingly.

With several singles on iTunes, a video in heavy rotation on MusicChoice and a mix tape in the works, the world is awaiting his reign and preparing to experience a “Panamanian Summer”

Diva & Stres$

This Spotlight Is Featuring A Female Hustler Truly on Her Grind & Her Extremely Talented Artist!

Salute to Simone Gully aka "Diva" & Stres$

Simone Gully now known to many as “Diva” after dedicating many years of serving in military, she decided to leverage her experience and skills to pursue her passion for event planning. Immediately following her military service she embarked on a career with The Elegant Experience a premier catering company based out of Atlanta, GA. She has coordinated video shoots, children's birthday parties, film screenings, television sets, charity events, movie sets, and much more while employed with the Elegant Experience. She found the need to be more involved with the overall planning and execution of these types of events and decided to start her own company. In 2008 she started her own company called Diva Class Events (Event Planning) and Diva Class Entertainment (Promotions, Marketing, Public Relations). While pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Small Business & Entrepreneurship) she started to focus more and more on doing events on her own.

In 2009 she made the decision to pick up and move to New York City from Atlanta to expand her business and network. This turned out to be one of best moves of her career. Now she not only plans and coordinates events she is now a Manager to Artists, Models, and Writers under her company TopKnotch Management. She manages hip-hop artist STRES$ in Miami, model Ronzie in Houston, model/host Jae Michelle in LA and artist/actor Shion in New York. She feels she has formed a solid team and finds managing to be another passion of hers.

In the midst of all of the work she does between events and her client list she still found time to start a cancer foundation (ALSIGE Foundation) which was founded in memory of her mother who she lost to breast cancer in 2001. This Foundation really became significant and important to her after learning her step-father who was her primary guardian after losing her mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Cancer has hit home with her twice and makes ALSIGE on top of her priority list to help those in need that are struggling financially dealing with the disease. Still in the beginning stages she believes with the many cases arising every day of cancer ALSIGE will make a huge impact and difference to those in dire need of assistance.

After making a mark on New York City and expanding her network and talents she is now focusing on her move back to Atlanta to establish a solid team and support system. She focuses on making events affordable and comfortable for all to attend. As well as giving artist, models, and small business owners the tools that they need to succeed in life.

STRES$

Miami’s hottest un-signed hype, is poised to leave his mark on the minds of hip-hop connoisseurs who appreciate authenticity, lyrical skills and unique vocal delivery. His music has a feel reminiscent of rap from back in the day, but is relevant and relatable to serious hip-hoppers and old-school music lovers alike. STRES$, a raspy-voiced MC, transmits a stream of lyrics so free, but yet so fierce, manipulating his craft to reflect a range of styles with influences from the Caribbean and Hip-Hop from east to west coast.

Of Jamaican descent, STRES$ overcame tumultuous times on the streets of Brooklyn, His father was murdered when he was an infant. After living in Jamaica for several years, Stress and his siblings came to Miami where his grandmother raised them. Stress lyrics reflect his diverse cultural influences and various genres of music. He takes pieces of everything great and combines it into one sound. He is almost the perfect blend of North & South, Entertainment, Content, Depth and Creativity.

His reputation for punch lines and metaphors put him on the map locally and landed him his first Independent Record Deal with Miami-based Akono Entertainment in 2004-2006. The release of his debut mix tape titled "Product Of The Street", left consumers with no doubts. In 2008, he linked Tycoon Group Entertainment also a Miami-based company who help him define his music more. Now with the release of his 2nd Mixtape Titled “Industry Intervention” he has come back with a smooth, laid back tone which grabs the attention of a wider demographic and fan base. “Industry Intervention” shows how much he has matured as an artist. STRES$ proves that he can stand on his own with his mixtapes, thus leveling him to stand with raps elite.

Get to know Reef

Reef started battling other rappers in high school and earned a reputation as one of the best battle emcees in Philadelphia. He received a film scholarship to the University of the Artswhere he began to visualize a serious career as a recording artist. Realizing his true calling, Reef dropped out of college at the age of 19 and teamed up with Philadelphia-based producer Sleep E to begin working on his first solo project. The 10 track album, The High Life, was released in 2001 and opened doors for Reef as he began performing at area clubs and generating praise from both fans and local media.

In February 2003, Reef released his second solo album, Invisible Empire. He distributed the album himself by way of a national schedule of shows during which he won the Mic Check Battle in Philadelphia and took second place in the Blaze Freestyle Battle in Oakland, California.

Reef took his freestyle skills to another level early in 2004 with a rousing performance at the Beat Society production competition in New York, and a fierce win in the Riddle Records Mic Control Battle. He was also the End Of The Weak (EOW) Challenge Champion at the Rock Steady Crew 27th Anniversary in July 2004, and went on to take the EOW Grand Championship title in 2005. Mindful of his stunning battle prowess, Reef places a determined emphasis on balance with his songwriting and performance abilities.

Feast Or Famine, Reef's third solo album, was released in 2005 to critical acclaim. Also in 2005, Reef was a member of The JuJu Mob whose debut album, Black Candles, was lead by fellow Army of the Pharaohs rapper Chief Kamachi. The debut album from Army of the Pharaohs entitled The Torture Papers, was released in 2006 and featured two songs with Reef as a featured member.

Reef kicked off 2007 as the featured artist on the song "Never", the lead single by Snowgoons; a German-based production team. The Snowgoons' album, German Lugers, was released February 27 on Babygrande Records. The single and its accompanying video can be heard and seen on Reef's myspace page.

A Vicious Cycle, Reef's follow-up to Feast Or Famine, was released digitally on November 4, 2008 with a physical street date of November 18, 2008 through independent upstart Well Done Entertainment Corporation in association with his imprint, Fuck You Pay Me Records. The album includes guest appearances by Termanology, King Magnetic, Eternia, Taragirl & Scandal of 40D. Additionally, the online version of the album includes remixes of "Listen To Me" & "Get It? Got It? Good" by Brooklyn producer J.J. Brown.

Reef also has a cameo in the new Frank Henenlotter film Bad Biology produced and co-written by R.A. the Rugged Man.

History-making moment: In 2009, Reef became the first and only independent Hip Hop artist to have ever had a song debut as the coveted theme on ESPN's Monday Night Football. The song: 2005's "Sound of Philadelphia" featuring production by King Magnetic. The game: Philadelphia Eagles v. Dallas Cowboys.

Reef teamed up with the production team of Guns-n-Butter to produce the 13-track album "Fight Music" released June 8, 2010. The album features Kool G. Rap, Vinnie Paz (of Jedi Mind Tricks), R.A. the Rugged Man, Big Noyd, Slaine (of La Coka Nostra), King Magnetic, Akir, K-Beta, Bloodsport and Burke the Jurke.
